    Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a progressive and fatal lung disease that causes scarring of the lungs and an inability to breathe. IPF affects individuals 65 years of age and older with the number of cases at approximately 200,000 and on the rise. The CIRM hPSC Repository contains hPSCs representing IPF as well as controls without diagnosed lung disorders. All samples are tied to corresponding demographic and clinical information.
